Simurgh by Unita-NThe Simurgh is a mythical creature from Persian mythology. It is a giant, female bird, said to be large enough to pick up elephants or even whales. The Simurgh itself is usually depicted as a large bird with the head of a dog, the tail of a peacock and the claws of a lion. Sometimes it has a human head, instead.Regardless of appearance, the creature is usually portrayed as a friendly and benevolent being.
